02.03.2010 600 Riviera at MECSPE 2010
The boatsyard Cantiere Nautico Feltrinelli, in cooperation with austrian company Fronius and Boatsyard Frauscher, will show in the middle of the Excellence Sailing and Technologial Transfer Square, 600 Riviera, the first electric boat in the world fuelled with hydrogen and ready for the production in series.
Future Project Hydrogen is a project realized by the Austrian companies Fronius, Bitter and Frauscher that were able to develop a product whose only energy source is hydrogen,
The mechanism is simple and absolutely “green”: Frauscher boatyard produces the electric-powered motorboat Riviera 600 (6 mt length and 2.2 mt width) and, on it, it is installed a fuel battery produced by Fronius that transforms hydrogen into electricity.

Bitter, the third company involved in the project, studied the system for the hydrogen distribution.
The result is a 100% eco-friendly boat and an integrated system to get the ecological fuel with zero impact. Moreover, thanks to the electric propulsion also the noise is no longer a problem: a light hum remind us that the engine is on!
